"Bangchak" Joins Hands with World Soil Association, Land Development Department, and Allies in Combating Soil Erosion based on King Rama IX's Philosophy

Mr. Kiatchai Maitriwong, senior executive vice president for Corporate Strategic Planning and Sustainability Development Group at Bangchak Corporation Public Company Limited, in collaboration with the World Soil Association, the Land Development Department, and the Pidthong Institute has launched the “Stop Soil Erosion, Save our Future” project in Kaen Makrood sub-district, Uthai Thani province. Applying the philosophy of HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great (King Rama IX), this project aims to set an example of how to ease global warming, improve soil quality, and increase water absorption in soil. This project, moreover, celebrates King Rama IX’s talents in soil conservation and development. World Soil Association’s president Mr. Wiwat Salyakamthorn, who was also deputy minister of agriculture and cooperatives at that time, presided over the launch ceremony.
